This stain perfectly blends into the skin to create a lovely natural sun kissed look on my cheekbones (in the middle of winter). I’ve used this lip & cheek stain religiously since I first discovered it 5+ years ago. The consistency is perfect — moisturizing and blendable without ever being sticky or greasy. I really like the earthy scent. And the color is just perfect for giving me that just-kissed pink glow. I’ve tried other lip & cheek stains from brands that rely on icky chemicals, and those always dry out my lips or clog the pores on my face. With F & M’s lip and cheek stain, I get a quality stain with great color that is also good for my skin. I always keep one on me in my bag or purse since you will want to reapply throughout the day.

I have been searching for a perfect lip/cheek stain and finally found it. The color is lovely and natural with a subtle pop which can be layered darker if desired. The product stays in place while adding a little shine. I have fair and sensitive skin and this has helped my lips stay happier in cold weather and adds zero complication to my face skin! I am very scent sensitive and while this has a scent, it is not intrusive. I find it pleasant, even soothing- somehow herbal and earthy like a good tea. I plan to gift it to some friends and continue using it myself. I recommend it highly! I also want to add the appreciation for the plastic free product, which is super important to me and for the earth!

Like the title, I really love the color of this stain and the texture is nice. It melts into the skin beautifully and adds a very natural flush. However, the smell of the product is very strong and floral. I have a hard time with this, especially as it goes right under my nose on the lip. Because of this, I don't think it is something I will repurchase.

I had tried other 2-1 but this one takes the cake! I don’t like too much gloss or too dry either if that makes any sense, but i felt the balance was just right! I also really enjoyed the stain and how natural yet buildable it can be.. I’d also like to include that i am particularly picky about the shade of Pink i apply on my lips. I don’t feel there’s many shades that actually compliment me however i felt this one was just right! I ofc can not forget to mention the aroma! I’m not a huge fan of rose, however i have found to enjoy it and i feel it adds to the experience in all honestly. If your looking for something natural this is it!

I think it’s the perfect amount of color to add some thing fun to your day- especially if you’re like me and don’t wear makeup all that often. I LOVE‼️ this hammock from EMS, great for naps when you can’t get comfy on the ground, all you need are two trees or two poles! If you’re really brave, you can sleep in it all night - acts as a sleeping bag. It can also be used as a yoga prop❤️

Low waste makeup! 💄
Like many other consumable products, there are quite a few low-waste swaps available for makeup products. This post isn't a paid ad, so feel free to do a little research and find a product that works for you, this is just what I do! I am still working through a plastic bottle of make-up remover, but once it's done I will be looking for a low waste swap (or make my own). I also have a couple super simple makeup remover pads that I made out of some old clothing, even if you barely have any sewing skills it's so easy to make your own!

I don't wear much makeup and I don't wear it often, so tossing out old, unused makeup that has gone bad was something I really wanted to stop doing. I got a subtlbeauty stack which is great because it is small, compact, and customizable to give me what I need. No more spending $$$ on large foundation bottles that I end up tossing because I could never use that much!

Another product I love is my fatandthemoon lip and cheek stain. It comes in a cute little tin and I can get it locally from molloyssoap! I also try and use sustainable or solid perfume to reduce the number of bottles I have.

Finally my nakedswab is something I am so glad I made the switch to. I debated between the impacts of a bamboo or sustainable swab and a reusable silicone one, and opted for silicone. It was about 12$ from molloyssoap and it will last me a life-time. Swipe to see the second photo to see what you get: a smooth swab with a rounded and pointed end (good for makeup) and a textured swab as well. Super easy to use and clean.

This is the perfect shade for my light skin tone! I love doing a "rosy cheeks" makeup look, and this is a very creamy, moisturizing and buildable product. The scent is not very strong, and I love that the ingredients are natural and eco friendly. Tip: the was I use this is by taking a beauty blender, swirling some of the stain onto it, and dabbing onto the apples of my cheeks. I highly recommend trying this!

I have always used powder blushes, so didn’t know if I’d like this. I love it! When you apply it to your cheeks, it gives a nice healthy, dewy glow - it feels like healthy essential oil-based moisturizer more than makeup. And the scent is amazing - especially the rose geranium. I tap some pressed powder on top for a matte finish. For lips, it shows really light color, so I often use as a base under, or gloss over, Hecate Lip Paint.

I haven't gotten to wear this one as much as Wood Nymph yet, but the time I wore it I was surprised at how saturated the color was, and how well it applied. These lip paints have a GREAT, smooth texture and they have pretty good staying power, but not unnaturally so. I love the feel of adorning myself with the beauty of plants and earth! I applied just a smidge on my lips for this pic so you can SEE the difference! Love it.

Opaque. Not hydrating on its own, I layer with the lipstain. It is a brick red, as in orangey red, be aware because I thought it would be true red. I like the color though. You'll want to use this with a lip brush or qtip. It needs a precise line.

I love F&TM lip paints. Mortar and Pestle is a beautiful, earthy red that is just the right amount of bold: bold enough to be noticeable, but not so much that I feel like I should be at a club. It builds nicely and has a soft texture and matte finish, though if you want a wetter look, you can put a natural lip moisturizer over it. It has a lovely scent, though only noticeable if you hold up to your nose. It also blends nicely with the other lip paints and tints, so you can make variations on the original color.

A few years ago, I wanted to get into the classic red lip, and succeeded with a red lip crayon from Walgreens. And instantly felt suspicious about the ingredients list.
So over the years I've experimented with natural makeups, chasing a red lip that would last, look good, and make me feel good too.
Enter: Fat and the Moon!
- I feel great about their ingredients. This goes on your lips, after all. Who wants to be eating weird un-pronounceable chemicals every time you take a sip of water?
- The color is awesome. Bold, matte, and you can apply it with as light or heavy hand as you like.
- It lasts! Not forever, but longer than any other natural lip I have tried.
I dab it on top of chapstick with a finger and get a result that I am very happy about. Not too intense, just right for me.
I wear it every day, to work and just out and about on hikes and adventures.

When I was younger I would have hated this picture... even though it captures who I really am. I remember getting made fun of as a kid for my lips. Crazy how I was a child and still remember that feeling.
I remember looking in the mirror as a teenager and criticizing the features that make me who I am and connect me to my ancestry.
I will never fit into the euro centric standards of beauty...
and as an adult I can FINALLY accept that. What an amazing feeling!!
Growing up I loved Selena.. and I realize it’s because I saw myself in her. Representation really does matter.
I have always wanted to be what the young version of me needed: a woman to look up to that is strong and rooted in herself. I am so thankful to finally feel I am becoming that.
