Products

Are your products cruelty-free? Yes. All of our products are cruelty-free--we make everything in house and the only animals we test our products on are ourselves and our family members! 

Are your products vegan? Many of our products are Vegan. We use high quality, 100% pure beeswax sourced in the USA in products such as Salves, Lotions, Adornments. All ingredients are listed on each product page.

Are your products safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding? Products from our Mama & Babe collection are safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. For non-Mama & Babe specifics, consult your local herbalist or doctor. 

Do you have samples? Yes. We offer sample sizes of most of our powdered potions and perfume testers for purchase at checkout. 

Do you have gift cards? Yes. Check our gift card offerings here.  

How long do your products last? 4-12 months, depending on the product. Please check the product page to be sure! Deep dive: Some products such as All Cream and Aloe Lotion have a 4 month shelf life. Storing them in the refrigerator can help to extend this time-frame some, and of course keeping away from direct sunlight and heat! All potions should be stored in a temp controlled environment and away from possible exposure to water. Even a drop of H2O can introduce a whole slew of bacteria to your products…after all, water is life and we do not add any harsh or harmful chemical preservatives to our potions.

Can I use (product) for (problem)? We always recommend seeking out a local herbalist or doctor to help diagnose and prescribe remedies for any ailments you might have and for advice as to whether our products and their ingredients are right for you. Please always check our ingredients list prior to purchase and know your allergies!

What’s All Cream’s deal? All cream is made without preservatives or stabilizers, which means there is more room for the real, minimally-processed ingredients to be present and take up space. Because of the nature of shea and rose hydrosol, little disagreements in temperature can cause this product to separate. This is totally natural and we suggest whipping the product back up to help those elements recombine! Separation does not affect the goodness of this potion.When you purchase All Cream in extreme weather fluctuations, please keep in mind that consistency issues can be more prevalent. All Cream is a sensitive soul and therefore more tender in those conditions. We will not be refunding this product for separation, or a change in consistency. If you are looking for a potion that is less prone to separation issues, Aloe Lotion is your friendo. It is another great all over lotion.

Shipping

Where does Fat and the Moon Ship? We can ship anywhere in the world…however, we cannot predetermine or estimate individual countries' customs charges and ask that our international customers check in with their local customs office to determine potential charges prior to ordering from us. For questions about wholesale shipping, please email wholesale@fatandthemoon.com 

Who pays customs fees? Customers are responsible for customs fees for packages outside of the US. We wish we had influence over these rates, but alas, we do not. 

When will my order ship? Items will typically be shipped within 3-5 business days from when they are ordered. Please note that choosing expedited shipping will not affect this lead time… expedited shipping only relates to the time frame of the carrier… all FATM orders are made fresh to order and still have a 3-5 day manufacturing lead time, separate from projected shipping times. Shipping rates are based on weight. Please note that our products are handmade-to-order in small batches.

Do you offer free shipping? Yes. We offer free shipping on US orders over $75. 

How do I track my package? For questions regarding orders that have already shipped, please reference your tracking number. Once an order leaves our hands, it enters the domain of the carrier, and the order is no longer in our care or control. If you have concerns about late or lost packages, don’t trip! Please email us at customerservice@fatandthemoon.com—we like to be kept in the loop. Ultimately, delivery issues must be taken up and resolved with the carrier or LABL Protect (if you purchased shipping protection). 

I think my order is lost? Orders are shipped to the address provided. Orders shipped to incorrect addresses will not be reshipped or refunded. Orders are shipped from our making location at 416 Crown Point Circle, Grass Valley, CA 95945. Our team will sometimes reach out via email to confirm your address with you. A timely reply will help us get your order out faster. Please check your spam inbox if you do not see an email from us. 

What is LABL Protect and why do I need it? LABL Protect is a service that insures lost, stolen, and damaged packages. We implemented it here at Fat and the Moon because previously, when our customers' packages were lost, we had no means of recourse through the carrier. Enter LABL! We’re so stoked on it. You can report issues (i.e. lost, stolen, or damaged packages) with LABL by filling out the form here.

What should I do if my package is lost or stuck in transit? Domestic: The issue must be filed with LABL between 7 last shipping update. International: the issue must be filed between 21 and 30 days from the last shipping update. 

What should I do if my package is stolen? If your package is stolen and marked as delivered the issue must be filed with LABL between 5 and 15 days from when the order was marked delivered.

What should I do if my package arrives with damaged product? An item is considered broken if it is unusable (i.e. obviously fractured, bent, shattered, crushed, etc.). LABL doesn’t cover cosmetic damages such as scratches or dents (unless cosmetic damage makes the item unusable), damage caused by manufacturing, errors in packaging, or items that are unsealed. Claims for damaged items must be filed within 15 days of delivery.

Refunds / Exchanges

Due to the nature of the products, returns and exchanges cannot be accepted. Please read the ingredients carefully. Know your allergies. Test a small patch of skin with a product and wait 24 hr. If an allergy occurs, discontinue use! If you are unhappy with a product, please contact customerservice@fatandthemoon.com and we will try our best to accommodate.

All payments are due at checkout via Paypal or Credit Card. We now offer ShopPay so you can pay in installments over a period of time. We so appreciate your business, friends!
