Products

Are your products cruelty-free? Yes. All of our products are cruelty-free--we make everything in house and the only animals we test our products on are ourselves and our family members! 

Are your products vegan? Many of our products are Vegan. We use high quality, 100% pure beeswax sourced in the USA in products such as Salves, Lotions, Adornments. All ingredients are listed on each product page.

Are your products safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding? Products from our Mama & Babe collection are safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. For non-Mama & Babe specifics, consult your local herbalist or doctor. 

Do you have samples? Yes. We offer sample sizes of most of our powdered potions for purchase at checkout. 

Do you have gift cards? Yes. Check our gift card offerings here.  

How long do your products last? 4-8 months, depending on the product. Please check the product page to be sure! Deep dive: Some products such as All Cream and Aloe Lotion have a 4 month shelf life. Storing them in the refrigerator can help to extend this timeframe some, and of course keeping away from direct sunlight and heat! All potions should be stored in a temp controlled environment and away from possible exposure to water. Even a drop of H2o can introduce a whole slew of bacteria to your products…after all, water is life and we do not add any harsh or harmful chemical preservatives to our potions.

How do I view/change/modify/cancel my recurring orders?
All of that can be done in your customer portal by logging into your account in fatandthemoon.com. All Subscription products will receive a secondary confirmation with a direct link to your subscription portal. My order was processed and I needed to cancel/skip the order! What can I do?  Because we make everything from scratch in small batches, orders have a 3-5 business day lead time from processing the order to fulfillment. Please reach out to us as soon as possible and we may be able to cancel your order internally. Email us at customerservice@fatandthemoon.com and include your order number. Once orders are fulfilled by our shipping team, we cannot refund/cancel.

How does Route work with my subscription?  Route has a partnership with Recharge that allows Route Package Protection to be on every order you make as part of a subscription. Just confirm that route is added to the cart at the initial order and it will be applied to each subsequent order for that subscription product. For more information, please click here.

I'd like to choose a different method for shipping on my subscription product, can I do that?  Unfortunately the app is only compatible with the shipping methods available at check out, Shopify is working on providing more options but this is what we have available for the moment.

Shipping

Where does Fat and the Moon Ship? We can ship anywhere in the world…however, we cannot predetermine or estimate individual countries' customs charges and ask that our international customers check in with their local customs office to determine potential charges prior to ordering from us. For questions about wholesale shipping, please email wholesale@fatandthemoon.com 

Who pays customs fees? Customers are responsible for customs fees for packages outside of the US. We wish we had influence over these rates, but alas, we do not. 

When will my order ship? Items will typically be shipped within 3-5 business days from when they are ordered. Please note that choosing expedited shipping will not affect this lead time…expedited shipping only relates to the timeframe of the carrier…all FATM orders are made fresh to order and still have a 3-5 day manufacturing lead time, separate from projected shipping times. Shipping rates are based on weight. Please note that our products are handmade-to-order in small batches.

Do you offer free shipping? Yes. We offer free shipping on US orders over $100. 

How do I track my package? For questions regarding orders that have already shipped, please reference your USPS tracking number. Once an order leaves our hands, it enters the domain of USPS, and the order is no longer in our care or control. If you have concerns about late or lost packages, don’t trip! Please email us at customerservice@fatandthemoon.com—we like to be kept in the loop. Ultimately, delivery issues must be taken up and resolved with USPS or Route Package Protection. 

I think my order is lost? Orders are shipped to the address provided. Orders shipped to incorrect addresses will not be reshipped or refunded. Orders are shipped from our making location at 111 Margaret Lane, Grass Valley, CA 95945. Our team will sometimes reach out via email to confirm your address with you. A timely reply will help us get your order out faster. Please check your spam inbox if you do not see an email from us. 

What is Route and why do I need it? Route Package Protection is a service that insures lost, stolen, and damaged packages. We implemented it here at Fat and the Moon because previously, when our customers' packages were lost, we had no means of recourse through UPS or USPS. Enter Route! We’re so stoked on it. You can report issues (i.e. lost, stolen, or damaged packages) with Route by going to the Resolve Center. It’s a very simple and quick process—just a couple of clicks and you’re good to go!

What should I do if my package is lost or stuck in transit? Domestic: The issue must be filed with Route between 7 and 30 days from the last shipping update. International: The issue must be filed between 20 and 30 days from the last shipping update. 

What should I do if my package is stolen? If your package is stolen and marked as delivered the issue must be filed with Route between 5 and 15 days from when the order was marked delivered. Stolen orders over $100 USD require a police report. 

What should I do if my package arrives with damaged product? The issue must be filed with Route with photos of the damaged package and item, no later than 15 days from when the order was marked delivered. You can review Route’s full set of policies here.

Refunds & Exchanges

Due to the nature of the products, returns cannot be accepted. Please read the ingredients carefully. Know your allergies. Test a small patch of skin with a product and wait 24 hr. If an allergy occurs, discontinue use! If you are unhappy with a product, please contact customerservice@fatandthemoon.com and we will try our best to accommodate.

Payment Methods

All payments are due at checkout via Paypal or Credit Card. We now offer ShopPay so you can pay in installments over a period of time. We so appreciate your business, friends!
