Lip & Cheek Stain is a plant-based tint for lips and cheeks made with botanical color and simple ingredients. The perfect pot of pocket sized plant based color.

This buildable tint glides onto lips and the apples of the cheeks, adding a just the right touch of au natural color while nourishing skin with a simple base of sunflower oil and beeswax.

Alkanet root infused into sunflower oil gives this stain its rich wine-red hue and earthy character, with just a touch of rose geranium essential oil to round the earthy aroma.

Heads up, noses up. Some folks find the scent of alkanet root a bit earthy (think somewhere in the neighborhood of valerian). If that’s not your jam, try our Ruby Red Lip Stain for a similar hue with a brighter citrusy scent.

What gives Lip and Cheek Stain its herbaceous smell?
That would be the Alkanet! Known for the rich red dye extracted from ruby roots, Alkanet has been used in food, medicine and textiles for millenia. This plant has a distinctive aromatic pungency, but we find its wine-red hues are worth the multi-dimensional scent.
