Fat Crush: Sajani Amarasiri of Kola Goodies

Written by Admin Crew October 05, 2021
Sajani Amarasiri has fond memories of a green herbal porridge her mother lovingly and laboriously prepared for breakfast when she was growing up in Sri Lanka. In April 2020, after moving to the states for school and spending some time in tech, Sajani founded Kola Goodies to honor her heritage, culture and family recipes. At a recent conference watching Sajani enthuse about the possibilities of a business as a force for social change, we were immediately awed by her vision, intelligence, and gorgeous red lip color and decided to reach out.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
With Kola, Sajani is committed to personally managing the supply chain and providing good wages to small farmers in Southeast Asia as a way of both ensuring the best ingredients for her recipes and giving back to the cultures and communities whose “wellness” practices we borrow from.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Currently Kola Goodies is exploring some delicious recipes involving Ceylon Tea. ⁣⁣
“Ceylon Tea is quite popular in the rest of the world and we are looking to bring it here in a fun, approachable way as a coffee alternative” Sajani told us. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Should you find yourself in our neck of the woods, we’ll be featuring Kola drinks and masks throughout the year at Fat and the Moon’s brand new (allllmost open!) sister spa Kosmos Spa(ce) @kosmos_spa_ce 🌙⁣⁣

Follow @sajaniamarasiri on the gram and check out @kolagoodies for all of her beautiful offerings. ⁣⁣
