Sustainability Books & Podcasts: The Coven’s Top Picks for Eco-Healing
After learning about the devastating effects of plastic pollution on the environment and human health, Oakland accountant Beth Terry began an experiment to see if she could live without buying any new plastic. Since then, she has reduced her plastic waste to less than 2% of the national average. That experiment turned into the popular blog MyPlasticFreeLife.com and new book Plastic-Free: How I Kicked the Plastic Habit and How You Can Too. A founding member of the Plastic Pollution Coalition, Terry gives presentations on plastic-free living and why, despite what some critics assert, our personal actions really do make a difference. Her work and life have been profiled in the award-winning film Bag It, as well as Susan Freinkel’s book, Plastic: A Toxic Love Story and Captain Charles Moore’s Plastic Ocean.

The Ground Shots Podcast is an audio project exploring our relationship to ecology through conversations and storytelling. How do we do our work in the modern age, when the urgency of ecological and social collapse feels looming? How do we creatively and whole-heartedly navigate our relationships with one another and the land?

The Good Life Revival Podcast documents the growing back-to-the-land movement of the 21st century, sharing stories, knowledge, and perspectives encountered on the path back to nature.
Join host Sam Sycamore in exploring the ways that we can align our core values and our daily habits towards a more sustainable, ecologically conscious way of life.

‘Fragrance usually isn't a single ingredient. It's an umbrella term that can represent a blend of many aromatic compounds. Many toxic, petroleum-derived ingredients get to lie in the shadows of ‘fragrance’, hiding under the guise of “proprietary blends”.
