Fat Crush: Alexis Nikole on Foraging, Herbalism, and Wild Foods

We have a love/hate relationship with social media. It’s sort of like dumpster diving— wading through a sea of bleh in hopes of picking up little gems and treasures. Friends, if you’re not already tuned into the magic of Alexis Nikole @blackforager then RUN to her account for a breath of sweet, refreshing air.

It goes without saying she is a highly-swoonable Fat Crush. Alexis uses her platforms on TikTok and Instagram to teach us how to make the most of free and abundant plants through foraging. She studied environmental science and theater at Ohio State University, and the two passions are perfectly highlighted in her content. Alexis brings joy and enthusiasm into the age-old practice, in concert with deep knowledge of plants.  Entertaining, engaging and educational, there's no one we currently love more.

While you're perusing her feed, don’t miss these original songs about cattails and sassafras.
